What is LoudTwitter?
Maybe I should have started by that, indeed.
So, you probably know about twitter, with all that recent buzz, maybe you even have one account there, and you give updates about «what you are doing» to a bunch of friends.
If you also have a blog, LoudTwitter is the bridge that posts to your blog your daily tweets. That way you can keep up to date a broader audience (broader because not everybody wants to follow you on twitter or because your mom don't grok twitter -- you're thankful enough she knows about your blog). Your blog will take care about the archiving of your tweets along with your other posts (which give more context).
After all, if you have a blog and a twitter, your blog is probably the core place where you want to be found, tracked, or whatever! LoudTwitter reconcile your twittering with your blogging. Hourrah!
How does one DE_ACTIVATE Loud Twitter from a blog?

Nothing is more easy. Just log into loudtwitter and notice the two last buttons :
- one is to suspend the account (no posting anymore) but your account is kept
- the other is to delete your account (which obviously also disable posting)

Sure wish there was a picture or URL of it in action, cause Twitters say it's great, but I would like to see for myself.

Ok, is there any OTHER way to disable loudtwitter postings from livejournal? I've tried suspending posts and I've even deleted my account and I still get doubleposts in my livejournal.

I have to say that I've enjoyed using Twitter. I've been doing it for about 2 weeks, and have already created some interesting relationships as a result.

So Haiti has 'Papa Doc' and 'Baby Doc'. Why does this remind me of 'Lord of War'. Sheeet.

To everyone with cancellation issues, please be sure you don't have two accounts (one openid and one email for instance)

"You have more that one shipment method configured, please select the one used for shipping daily"
I've only selected e-mail. How do I remove other shipment methods? Simply deleting ATOM API an XMLRPC settings don't work since there are required fields. Suggestions?

Trying this out

Loud Twitter is the scourge of the internet. Yes, some people don't want to follow your twitter on twitter, and those same people *especially* don't want your twitter foisted on them as they're going about their internet day. This "service" is used as an excuse for giving a damn about your blogs. It says to your readers: here's some nonsensical out-of-context incoherent crap to ignore, I don't care about you. When I read a blog I want to read a blog, not automated trash. Please for the love of God shut this service down, it's worse than spam!

I agree with Mike, if I wanted to stay in touch with people's random daily drivel or their out of context, meaningless in jokes I'd sign up.
Instead I get a rash of spam daily on my blog. Please keep twitter for those who actually want it, and not foist it on those of us who don't.

How do I get LoudTitter to post on my LiveJournal?
Posted by: michelle | July 08, 2008 at 06:25 AM
Is it possible to use LoudTwitter to sync with a MySpace blog?
Posted by: Joey | August 18, 2008 at 02:43 PM
It would be MUCH better if it could be used in a side bar, or on a profile page, instead of a blog post that would constantly spam your subscribers.
Posted by: tgd | August 24, 2008 at 06:36 PM
@tgd you can also do that, esp with movable type/typepad. or there are different other tools for that purpose which is different
Posted by: Loudtwitter | August 25, 2008 at 09:05 AM
Ummm ... I'm new to all of this. How do you post anything? I'm trying to run this from my web-enabled phone and I don't even know where to begin. A "how to post a tweet" tutorial would really make this site more accessible to people who are just starting out (like me).
Sorry for the dumbass question.

I am really at a loss because I'm trying to configure and it says "You have more that one shipment method configured, please select the one used for shipping daily". I would prefer e-mail, but didn't receive an e-mail today.
I tried deleting my information from ATOM API posting configuration and
# XMLRPC posting configuration, but it won't let me.
I tried deleting my account and trying to start a new account. This Twitter is very smart and remembered everything from before. :-/
So, what do I do now? Help me please. Thanks!

I didn't hate Twitter until LoudTwitter infected my LJ friends page. If I wanted to follow people's tweets, I'd follow them on Twitter. Now I have to follow every short non-thought that everyone I know has, with no way to escape.
Thanks for a service that takes my choices away.

I really don't like seeing this on my friends Livejournals. I ended up removing friends just to get away from the constant spam and meaningless banter. If I understood what they were talking about, it wouldn't be an issue... I'd really like it if you made a feature to put on Livejournal that PREVENTS you from reading twitters.
Posted by: Nezzie | September 09, 2008 at 05:51 AM
I am not 100% familiar with all of LJs features but does it not have a feature to filter out certain categories of post? Is it not possible for Loudshout to tag its entries and the recipients to say 'I want to see all my friends entries *apart* from their Loudshout ones'?
Posted by: Roblex | September 12, 2008 at 11:06 PM
@roblex: I'm not familiar with it either, but it should work yes. But it depends on blog owner's will to tag it with something consistent...

HOW DO I POST ONTO LJ???
Posted by: Mary | September 14, 2008 at 08:37 PM
To everyone complaining about this: maybe you just have lousy friends who don't use it properly?
Posted by: Someguy | September 17, 2008 at 06:19 PM
LoudTwitter is great! Please ignore the complainers, they should be talking to their friends who are spamming them instead of complaining to you about providing an excellent service.
However, you might want to consider including instructions for different blog services on commands for custom user groups, i.e., for LiveJournal, you can customize LoudTwitter to post to a custom LJ group, i.e., "twitters", then that user can then remove the friends who don't want to see the Twitter posts from that user group.

I would include an option that allows your tweets to be shipped weekly, perhaps. I tweet, at most, thrice a day. Usually, I tweet less than seven times a week, thus making a "daily" shipment of tweets to my blog completely pointless and totally spam-ish.
